Our Mission:
To assist unemployed individuals to prepare for, obtain and maintain
sustainable employment.
Our Mandate:
- To work with unemployed individuals to identify
employment barriers – “What is holding you back from finding
employment?”
- To identify and respond to appropriate support and
referral services through various interventions.
Message
from the Executive Director The Labrador Friendship Center (LFC), as the
sponsor organization, is proud to continue its collaboration with Human
Resources and Skills Development Canada and more specifically are delighted
to be able to introduce our staff at the Central Career Circuit (CCC). Our
team consists of three very highly motivated staff that includes two
Employment Counsellors (Ms. Darlene Curl and Mrs. Cheryl Mcgrath)
&
an Employment Counsellor Assistant (Mrs. Deborah Newman).
Our staff takes the lead in offering programs and
services with a front line approach. The assurance of quality client service
is always maintained and the CCC staff pride themselves in program delivery
through a hands on approach. This is made evident through the Mission
Statement of assisting the unemployed in preparing for, obtaining and
maintaining sustainable employment by identifying employment barriers and
working with individuals in developing appropriate interventions to respond
to those barriers. By offering a wide range of employment related services,
unemployed individuals are able to avail of many programs and services,
training and job creation initiatives that can result in individuals gaining
long term meaningful employment.
The Labrador Friendship Center is proud to be offering
these services through this partnership and more importantly would like to
take this opportunity to sincerely thank the CCC staff, Service Canada and
the (LFC) Board of Directors for their support and dedication to the overall
success of the program.
In Friendship,
Stan Oliver
